Winter Scholarships: Awards available for USPC Equine Symposium & Convention attendance & Upper Level scholarship (can use for Upper Level Prep fees, testings etc.) Winter Scholarships open November 19, 2019 and close January 1, 2019.
Spring/Summer Scholarships: Potential scholarship money to help fund your attendance at a Pony Club event such as Regional Camp, Pick Your Ride Rally or Jamboree. Exact Spring/Summer Scholarships availability & application open/closing dates will be announced in Spring time.
STEP ONE (1) TO APPLY:
The first step in your application is to write a short essay (one essay per scholarship you are applying for). The essay can be a single paragraph to a page in length. Save your essay and name it with the Scholarship you are applying for as the document name. Please do not use your name or mounts name in file name.
Write your essay answering the both of the following questions:
Why are you applying for this scholarship? How will it benefit you
and your Lake Shore Region community?
DO completely answer the question.
DO allow your parent to proof read, but not write the essay for you.
DO use a separate essay document for each scholarship applied for.
DO write your own essay (that means NOT YOUR parent’s!!) Use your own words…we want to hear from you!
DO NOT put your name or your pony’s name anywhere.
STEP TWO (2):
After you have completed your essay(s), complete the online application via this APPLICATION LINK and attach your essay. The “Name” question on the Google form online application is the only place your name should appear within the application and essay.
1) Write one essay for each scholarship you are applying for.
2) Fill out the Google Form application ONCE and attach essay documents within the form.
3) Look for a confirmation email/copy of your responses.
4) Wait for the exciting scholarship announcement in January!

The Lake Shore Region Youth Board is comprised of delegates chosen by each club in Lake Shore Region. Members must be either over the age of 13 or a D3 HM. Each club is allowed three delegates,a and delegates may change each year as clubs see fit. These members from across the region work together and with the Regional Council to improve and facilitate programs for all members of the region.

LSR YB scholarships are open to all members of Lake Shore Region. We offer scholarships for most disciplines and events offered through the region. The application requires a short form and one page essay. Essays are graded anonymously and the writer's age is taken into account.
The LSR YB meets Bi-annually in conjunction with the spring and fall Regional Council meeting.
